Vintage gold plated scroll, with out stand with stand Message or Document Holder Message Box from India we think. It was used during the period of Maharajas for carrying Royal Messages or important documents.
A beautiful decorative piece or it can be used to protect precious and valuable document pieces.
The end cap pulls off to insert a document or message, it is made of two parts connected with a safety chain. Very old with lovely engraving & decorative detail throughout. In good condition. Approximately 11 inches long by 1 inch wide. We think made from brass or gold plate but not 100% sure of this. The safety chain is 13 cm long
Beautiful handmade piece features an elegant scrolled design, plus there is a place for engraving a name on the back for a gift. This could possibly also be used as an incense holder.
